Who we are

The Distillery is a collaboration between Papaiti Gin and Good Bones Distilling, two independent Whanganui makers with a shared love of craftsmanship, storytelling, and place.

Set in a restored space on Drews Avenue, The Distillery brings together a working distillery, a refined cocktail bar, a tasting cellar, and a retail shop under one roof. It’s where you can watch spirits being made, taste them, and hear the stories that shaped them.

We champion New Zealand-made spirits and the people behind them. Our bar menu celebrates small-batch distillers from across Aotearoa, while our cellar door offers seasonal releases, limited editions, and hands-on gin-crafting experiences.

More than a bar, The Distillery is a meeting place for makers, locals, and travellers alike - a place where good spirits, good stories, and good company come together.
